11th Annual Play with the Stars Golf Tournament
WHO: Hosted by the Halifax Metro Centre, in support of the Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia (LDANS).
WHEN: Monday, June 9, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Granite Springs Golf Club, Bayside N.S. To get to Granite Springs Golf Course from Halifax, take route 333 to Bayside. The course is approximately 25 minutes from exit 2.
WHY: The golf tournament is an annual fundraising initiative planned jointly by the Halifax Metro Centre and the LDANS. It features local media personalities, as well as other celebrities, with a focus this year on the new Halifax Rainmen basketball team.
The Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia (LDANS) is a non-profit association offering programs, advocacy, support, and referral services to children,parents, professionals and others dealing with learning disabilities.
