What?
This exciting fundraiser, with presenting sponsor Blundstone Footwear has been successful in Toronto over the past 5 years raising funds in support of SKETCH - Working Arts for Street-Involved and Homeless Youth and has established a solid reputation within that community.
With it’s unique concept and solid foundation, Boot It UP! is ready to break through in the Atlantic Region, in support of The Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia!
This exciting opportunity came to LDANS through our Board President, Joachim Stroink, owner of The Trail Shop, a supplier of Blundstone’s Footwear and sponsor of this inaugural LDANS event.
The Concept
Blundstone’s will donate 15 pairs of their iconic boots to be artistically treated by local artisans, celebrities and designers using all different mediums. These boots will then be displayed at FRED Salon Café & Gallery, before being sold to the highest bidder at a live cocktail auction Thursday, February 5th, 2009.
